A reputable international school in Shanghai is currently seeking a qualified and experienced ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher to join its teaching team from August 2026.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Arts to middle and/or high school students

• Deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing, literature, and critical thinking

• Design lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated instruction aligned with school curriculum standards

• Support students’ academic English development and literacy skills

• Collaborate closely with Chinese and international colleagues

• Participate in school meetings, curriculum development, and professional learning activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Education, or a related field

• Native English speaker or near-native English proficiency

• Minimum 2 years of relevant ELA / English teaching experience

• Experience in bilingual or international school settings preferred

• Familiarity with international curricula (IGCSE, A Level, IB, AP, or similar) is a plus

• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching license preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
