We are seeking an experienced International Principal (K0-G5) to lead an innovative international school starting in February 2026. This is a remarkable opportunity for an educational leader who can drive academic excellence, operational efficiency, and the strategic growth of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership: Develop and oversee the implementation of a K0-G5 curriculum that meets IB standards. Lead innovative teaching practices (e.g., STEAM, cross-cultural projects) and engage directly in teaching with up to 10 class hours per week.
Teacher Team Building: Manage staffing budgets, recruitment, induction training, and career development for teaching staff. Enhance teaching standards through evaluations, workshops, and feedback.
Division Operations: Oversee the division’s day-to-day operations, ensuring effective resource allocation, managing safety protocols, and meeting enrollment and retention targets.
Community Relations: Represent the school at key events and foster strong communication with parents and the local community. Expand the school’s international presence and strengthen community support.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other divisions to integrate Chinese and international curricula, ensuring compliance with school policies and local regulations.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Educational Leadership, International Education, or a related field. Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
Valid school leadership certification or teaching qualification (national or international).
At least 10 years of K-12 education experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role in an international school setting.
Extensive experience with the IB curriculum and cross-cultural education.
Strong strategic leadership skills with a proven track record in school development and continuous improvement.
Exceptional communication skills in English (Chinese proficiency is a strong plus).
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to bridge Eastern and Western educational philosophies.
