Middle School English Teacher in Shenzhen Start August 2026

A well-established international school in Shenzhen is seeking an experienced Middle School English Teacher to join its academic team for the 2026 school year. Candidates with a British education background and Head of Department experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will deliver engaging English lessons aligned with a project-based learning (PBL) approach, supporting students’ literacy development, critical thinking, and communication skills in an English-medium environment.

Schedule & Workload

  • Monday–Friday, 7:45–16:30

  • 21 teaching periods per week

  • 40 minutes per period

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Native or near-native English proficiency

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an independent or international school

  • Experience with project-based learning

  • Teaching license or subject-related certification

  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to contribute to professional learning communities

  • HOD or leadership experience is a strong advantage

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: RMB 25,000–35,000/month before tax

  • Housing allowance: RMB 8,000/month
